ITR simracer climbs the leaderboard after Alabama race

The Vehicular Circus rallied at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama last weekend, and CEOHM Michael Ryhl was ready with the Riley Pontiac. The track is quite fast but is also blessed with some challenging bend combinations and a couple of steep dips and rises.

Michael Ryhl outpaces britton David Ward in the pink #8 car. Ward scored a DNF, retiring the car halfways 23 laps down and registering a P20.
Michael Ryhl qualified the ITR car Q10 on the starting grid with a 1:22.035, but he was unable to keep up the pace of the immediate competitors and sank to P12 before some race-incidents out in front lifted him back to a P10.

'Running as high as P9 I decided to pit after 27 laps', said the ITR star-driver after the race, 'Less than halfways I really had to pit, and decided to spare the second set of tires, but managed to regain P9 until Virginian Rob Kodey stormed me, and took 9th slot'. Kodey had fallen from P4 and was very determined to get back with the avant-garde.

The rest of the race was a stroll in the park because nobody really threatened Ryhl for
P10. So that's where he ended up. Congrats; well done.
Jonathan Rex in car #21 gives way to the fast ITR racer. Rex ended up P12 5 laps down on Michael Ryhl, which shows the fact that there weren't much to fight for during the late half of the race.
The team manager says that it's time for some setup improvements: 'The front tires are cooking and with VIR and Watkins Glen coming up, we need to find that front end grip without sacrificing tire wear'.

But apart from that there was much satisfaction amongst the supporters because Michael Ryhl now recides at a strong
#90 of 297 Rileys drivers in the championship.

The Bella Lago girls had a great time in Alabama!
