Into The Red trio defends the colours in Monaco

When the transporter of the famous ITR team from Maranello drove into the paddock everybody was very disappointed not to see the "Boss of all Bosses", team manager Per Einarsson, who had to attend a very important Bikini-collection meeting with Bella Lago Presidente Alberto Scainelli in Belarus.

But the race in the tight streets and wonderful promenades of Monaco saw all of the three remaining Rosso-stars excel at their best: Racing green Maserati-engined Cooper cars.

Henrik Christensen had a lucky escape from the tumultous first laps and managed to steer his racer out of trouble on several occasions during the race, ending near the podium on a very satisfying P6.

He stalked Finn Agerkvist in the CCC-Cooper for almost half the race, overtook him on the entry to the casino Square in front of the Hotel de Paris, but Agerkvist unfortunately retook his P5 on the ultimate lap. What a shame!

Michael Andersen fell into extremely bad luck on the opening lap, but due to his very stabile driving (which he is famous for) he regained a very deserved P8 and almost managed to steal away pole-sitter Erik Karlberg's P7 on the two last corners.

Søren Bærholm rose to an amazing P12 before L4 but was followed by instability in the general response of the car. Midrace he had a long dice with ex-ITR man Gert Sterner who still drives the old Ferrari 312 he crashed so many times last year.

Ex-ITR-pilote Gert Sterner dicing it with Søren Bærholm in the brutal Cooper-Maserati at the Railway Station hairpin. They swapped places seven times during the race!
