Track Day at Padborg Park
Ups and Downs for ITR drivers

The Danish Alfa Romeo Owner's Club held the 5th round of the 2004 Clubsport championship at the Padborg Park race track in southern Jutland.

Both Gert Sterner (Alfa Romeo 33 1.7 16V) and Per Einarsson (Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce) prepared their cars and set out for an early rendevouz at 6 o'clock in the morning, arriving at 8 for the open gates.

The Blue Bertone GT of the team manager was rejected in technical control due to a too noisy exhaust (although only meassured at 96 dB compared to an announced limit of 99 dB), leaving the grey 33 16V as the sole ITR entrant.

But, never the less, Gert Sterner showed a stunning drive and both the team manager and ClubRace driver Claus Larsen were genuinely awed by the shear speed that Sterner managed in the 1600-2000cc class.

Results will be posted as soon as they are published by the organisers.
