|ITR takes 2nd in class at prestigious hill climb
Per Einarsson raced in the rain at the annual Munkebjerg Hill Climb. In his Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce, he out-classed everybody except an MG B Roadster.
Participating in the Rookie C-class he had to attend a seminar and the special Chapter 3 in the Rally Rulebook had to be observed (max average speed 60 kph), although nobody knew how actually to do so! But through the slippery hairpins, C-class cars from small Fiat Abarths to huge Corvette Stingrays were left behind in the tables.
The venue had been moved from its regular august date, and this had reduced the entrant numbers. Only 43 cars participated, out of which about 10 cars where rookies.
Best time of the day was set by Otto Reedtz-Thott in an original AC Cobra 289.
"Look out for oil in the hair-pin. The crashed MG B might have leaked some"
